Besso Insurance Services, the independent Lloyd’s broking group, today announces the formation of a new property and speciality team, with the appointments of Matthew Sinclair and David Pratt-Sinclair, who join as director and executive producer respectively based in London. Gemma Barnes and Joe Marston also join the team as senior broker and broker respectively.
The team will specialise in property and liability risks. Within property, the focus will be on open market facultative property risks in the US, Caribbean and international markets, while liability will focus on open market and facility based smaller risks globally excluding mainland US.
Sinclair brings extensive experience to Besso, having amassed more than 25 years of industry experience. He joins from Tyser, where since 2012 he held the role of director of the North American and international speciality division. Throughout his career Sinclair has built valuable global connections with clients and markets particularly throughout the Caribbean and North America.
Pratt-Sinclair previously held the role of director and ambassador of Tyser’s North American and international speciality division and brings more than four decades of international market experience to Besso.
Russ Nichols, Besso joint CEO, said: “Matthew, David, Gemma and Joe are fantastic additions to Besso. With decades worth of combined experience and a deep understanding of the property and liability markets, they will bolster our global capability, in addition to creating one of the largest property teams working with the Caribbean market. Their impressive market reputation and industry connections will enhance our offering and I look forward to working with all the team.”
