Tokio Marine Kiln (“TMK”), the leading specialist international insurer, has appointed David Slevin as Departmental Head of Aviation as it focuses on expanding its presence in the Aviation sector.
The newly created post will see Slevin leading the continued profitable growth and development of TMK’s Aviation portfolio, which was established in 1976.
Slevin brings more than 36 years’ experience in building, leading and developing profitable underwriting portfolios to the role. A career underwriter and proven business leader, he joins from Chubb, where he was most recently Product Head for Aviation. Previous roles include Divisional Director of Transport, Energy and Recall at Hiscox and Managing Director at Faraday Syndicate.
Matthew Shaw, TMK’s Chief Underwriting Officer, said: “We are delighted to bring David on board to lead our Aviation strategy as we continue to grow and diversify our portfolio. Slevin is expected to take up the post in Spring 2022.
