BMS, the independent insurance and reinsurance broker, is pleased to announce its partnership with the African Caribbean Insurance Network (ACIN).
The ACIN was formed in 2018 to boost black and minority ethnic representation within the insurance industry by way of increasing cultural competence in the London market and making the insurance sector a more attractive destination for young ethnic professionals.
BMS will act as a 2022 silver sponsor for the ACIN, collaborating with them on achieving their objectives and driving their strategic vision. As a silver sponsor, BMS will work with ACINRecruit to hire for BMS’ apprenticeship programme and entry level roles; co-host events with the ACIN for student cohorts, providing insight into insurance; and support ethnic diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategies through ACIN’s partnership offering.
Neil Prior, group head of environmental and social responsibility at BMS, said: “Our partnership with the ACIN will help us foster an increasingly inclusive and diverse working environment at BMS. The ACIN team has made great strides since the organisation was founded, and it is a pleasure to be a part of the drive to make our market one that’s accessible to all talented individuals. We look forward to working with them over the next year and helping to achieve their goal of improving representation in the industry.”
