BMS, the independent insurance and reinsurance broker, has announced the appointment of Catherine Williamson as global marketing and communications director, effective immediately. Based in London and reporting to Eliot Powell, group chief commercial officer, she will be responsible for marketing BMS’ strategic goal of geographical expansion through M&A, driving awareness of its position as a specialist industry leader, enhancing all aspects of client service and reinforcing the BMS brand as an employer of choice for future talent.
Williamson joins BMS with almost twenty years of industry experience including Investec where she held a variety of senior roles including marketing director of brand and communications and also head of marketing strategy for their corporate and investment bank. Prior to this, she held the role of senior marketing manager at AXA for five years, where she managed a portfolio of 1.2 million customers.
Powell said: “Catherine is a highly experienced multi-channel marketeer who has worked particularly in the insurance and investment banking world. We are delighted to welcome her to the BMS team where her experience of global financial services will be valuable as we continue to grow.”
