Argenta Appoints Inga Brand as Unit Head, Energy Liability 150 150 Haggie Partners

Argenta is pleased to announce the appointment of Inga Brand as Unit Head, Energy Liability, effective immediately. Based in London, she will report to Heath Callan, Divisional Head of Energy & Marine. Inga brings over 24 years of underwriting experience in UK and global markets.

In her new role, Inga will be responsible for managing and driving the growth of Argenta’s flagship Energy Liability portfolio, ensuring it aligns with the company’s long-term strategic vision. She will focus on expanding market share, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and enhancing Argenta’s reputation as a leader in the sector. Additionally, she will play a key role in developing and mentoring underwriting talent, reinforcing Argenta’s commitment to technical excellence and client-centric solutions.

Inga joins from White Bear Managers (WBM), a Blenheim-owned MGA, where she was a founding partner of its Energy Liability product and played a pivotal role in its success since launching in 2020. Prior to this, she spent six years at Liberty Specialty Markets, starting as a Senior Underwriter before being promoted to Head of Energy, Construction, and Marine Liability in 2019. Earlier in her career, she spent ten years at Aspen Insurance, underwriting Energy, Construction, and Marine Liability risks, and began her insurance career at Syndicate 1861, working on the Marine and Energy Liability account.
