BMS Group (BMS), the independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, today announces the appointment of Anna Painter as head of global healthcare technical operations. Based in London, Painter will report to Rob Wendin, managing director of the global healthcare liability division. In this newly created role, Painter will oversee technical operations, supporting the division’s broader aim of providing best-in-class levels of service and solutions for healthcare providers.
BMS’s global healthcare division was launched in January 2024 with the appointment of Rob Wendin and now consists of nine members. Together, they bring over 100 years of experience in delivering solutions across treaty, facultative, binders, and wholesale, spanning insurance and reinsurance.
Painter’s appointment supports BMS’s continued planned growth in the global healthcare space. She joins with an impressive 27 years of experience including time with Gallagher and QBE, and most recently leading the medical malpractice division at Lonmar Global Risks. Her expertise in designing and setting up new products and facilities and running binding authorities, combined with deep understanding of policies and strong market relationships make her an ideal fit for what is one of the largest and most experienced medical malpractice teams in the London Market.
