BMS, the independent insurance and reinsurance broker, today announces the appointment of Rob Neighbour as divisional director, BMS energy, following completion of his contractual obligations. Based in London, he will report to Alex Collier, director of energy at BMS.
Neighbour will join from Alesco Risk Management Services, where he rose from partner to head of upstream broking, and most recently executive partner. Before this, Neighbour began his career at Howden Insurance Brokers before joining Thompson Heath and Bond Ltd as a broker.
The appointment marks the first hire in BMS’s energy team since Alex Collier and Josh Saggers joined as directors, and Andrew Vertigan as senior account handler in February of last year.
Chicken said: “Rob has an exceptional reputation with both clients, brokers and markets and his relationships enhance and complement those of the current team. As soon as he is free to join us he will greatly strengthen our upstream and midstream expertise. We are proud to continue to attract market-leading talent, which continues to reflect our commitment to our broker partners and clients to provide them access to great people, great service and great outcomes.”
