Optio Group, the specialty MGA, today announces the appointment of Tom Godsey who joins Cove Programs, an Optio company, as claims director for its subcontractor default insurance (SDI) practice. Based in Tennessee, Godsey will report to both Nathan Espe, head of SDI, and Nick Woodward, head of claims, and assumes his role effective immediately.
Godsey brings to Cove an impressive claims and legal background within the construction insurance space, with more than 25 years of experience. He joins from Zurich North America, where he held the role of claim attorney. Prior to this Godsey was the legal affairs counsel for Turner Construction Company where he oversaw all subcontractor default claims throughout the US.
Godsey will oversee Cove’s SDI claims process, offering leadership and input on all SDI claims.
