Pool Re, Britain’s leading terrorism reinsurer, today holds its annual market event entitled, “Guaranteeing Great Britain: Managing Terrorism Risk & Building Resilience.”
Highlights include a keynote address from John Glen MP for Salisbury, Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister talking about the Pool Re five year review, and an expert panel made up of Sir Nicholas Soames (Chair), Lord Browne of Ladyton, Sir John McLeod Scarlett, Alex Kirykowicz of Frontier Economics and Julian Enoizi CEO of Pool Re, the event will host some highly stimulating debate.
With HM Treasury’s review of Pool Re well underway, this will be a valuable opportunity to understand and discuss the mutual’s ambitious and enterprising new strategy designed to meet the challenges of a changing insurance environment and terrorist threat over the next five years.
As part of the event, Pool Re is launching its flagship publication, the SOLUTIONS annual report, an overview of significant developments in the terrorism reinsurance space. This year’s report has evolved to include articles on risk mitigation and wider resilience issues and includes an interview with Amber Rudd, Pool Re Advisory Council Member and former British Home Secretary, discussing politics, security and national resilience.
The report is further packed with opinions, analysis and intelligence on topics as diverse as how to integrate reinsurance into the national resilience and disaster risk financing architecture, implications for the UK of NDBI in Europe, insuring against pandemic risk, and understanding the drivers of terrorism and anticipating new threats.
Registration is still open for the annual Pool Re Market Event here.
