H&T Pawnbrokers is proud to announce that it has hit the halfway milestone in its 2021 commitment to help FareShare provide 200,000 meals for people who might not otherwise eat. Since its establishment in February this year, H&T’s partnership with FareShare has provided 100,000 meals to those at risk of hunger across the UK.
To achieve its ambition of providing 200,000 meals and helping to tackle food waste in the UK, H&T will continue to make a donation to FareShare for each employee every month. Employees can also contribute from their monthly salary, which H&T will then match.
Frances Marlow, H&T’s HR director, said: “We are proud to support FareShare and the communities they work in with their fight against hunger and food waste. We are delighted to have achieved our 100,000 meals milestone and look forward to reaching our next target. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone within H&T who has helped us to achieve this, and for their continued support of such a worthy charity.”
