Skuld, a leading global marine insurer, is delighted to announce a successful renewal of its protection and indemnity (P&I) policies for 2025/26. Skuld welcomes a notable number of new members, expanding its portfolio of entered mutual P&I gross tonnage (GT) on 20 February by 6%. This result excludes new and committed tonnage that will join Skuld during the 2025/26 policy year.

As of 20 February 2025, Skuld’s mutual P&I tonnage for the 2025/26 policy year stands at 122 million GT. This growth aligns with the targets established by the Skuld board.

Skuld reaffirms its strong presence across other business lines, including hull and machinery, charterers, energy, and FDD. This supports Skuld’s growth strategy through its ongoing diversification efforts. As a result, Skuld remains well-capitalised and prepared for future expansion.

Ståle Hansen, Skuld president and CEO, said: “The successful renewal of our P&I policies, which aligns with all our growth targets, demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering comprehensive, reliable, and effective insurance solutions to our members and clients. We continue to uphold our financial strength and exceptional service levels thanks to the experienced Skuld teams across our global office network. We sincerely appreciate the loyalty of our members and look forward to collaborating closely with our members, clients, and brokers to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring swift and fair claims settlements in the future.

“I would like to thank all Skuld colleagues who contributed to this year’s successful renewal. As we continue our growth trajectory, we remain dedicated to providing unparalleled service. In these turbulent times, our members, clients and brokers can rest assured in our steadfast support.”
