Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has been awarded the inaugural Service Quality Marque (SQM) for “Outstanding” Underwriting service in 2024 by independent insurance research firm, Gracechurch.
TMK exceeded the threshold of at least 80% positive service ratings over the previous year and is consistently highly rated by brokers for collaboration and customer focus, meaning that brokers and insureds can expect to receive an ‘outstanding’ experience.
The award follows the news in January that TMK had been awarded the SQM for Claims service for the eighth consecutive year, making TMK one of only two insurers across the market to have been rated “Outstanding” for both its Underwriting and Claims service in 2024.
The SQM award is based directly on data from the London Insurers Monitor, which is now in its 11th year and conducted among placing and producing brokers operating in the London Market.
Ben Bolton, Managing Director of Gracechurch, comments: “TMK’s inaugural 2024 Underwriting SQM award stands testament to its deep client focus and commitment to high-quality client care. Claims handling, team knowledge and efficiency are hallmarks of the TMK offering: brokers are confident that neither they nor their end client will be left stranded if things go wrong.”
Vivek Syal, incoming Chief Underwriting Officer for Tokio Marine Kiln, said: “We are pleased to receive this recognition for both our market leading underwriting and claims teams, whose commitment to our brokers and customers is outstanding. TMK is rooted in empowered underwriting expertise, superior claims service and integrity, and we are determined to continue supporting our clients through the complex risks we face now and long into the future.”
